Here are the instructions on how to separate your products into their own pages:
The first step is to add your products using the site assistant. Add only the products that you will have for your one category. For example, if you sell electronics and gifts, add only your electronics at this time. If you have added more than your electronics, they will have to be deleted and added again later.
- Login to your site at http://login.webpiston.com.
- Click on “Site Assistant” on the top left of the screen.
- Click on the “Products” tab at the top of the page.
- Click on “7. Add Products” at the top of the page.
- Delete any products that you have listed that are not electronics by clicking on the red x by each product.
- Then if you need to add more of your electronics, click on the “Add A Product” button and follow the on screen instructions.
- When you have finished adding all of your electronics, click on the “Next” button at the bottom of the page.
- You will now see a preview of your products page. Click on the “Continue” button at the bottom right of the page.
- You will get to a page that reads, “Congratulations! You have finished building your site” at the top of the page. Now, click on the “Done” button at the bottom right of the page.
Now you have to rename your products page to electronics.
Here is how you can rename your page:
- Click on “Classic Console” at the bottom left of the page.
- Click on “Edit your Site” on the right side of the page.
- Click on “Page Info” at the bottom of the page.
- Change the name of the “Page FileName” to something different. If you are making a page for electronics, you can change it to “electronics.html”. Also, change the name of the “Link Text” to Electronics as well. The link text is what will show underneath your pages (Home, Contact Us, etc.). You may also want to change the name of the “Page Title” as well. The page title is what will be displayed at the top left of your site when someone goes to that page. When you are finished, click on the “Save” button.
- Click on “Home” at the top right of the page.
- Click on “Web Piston Lite Console” on the right side of the screen.
Now go back to step number two and when you get to step number five again, you will delete all of your electronics and then continue on adding your next category of products from step six.
