Re: adding on to web site

Here are the instructions on how to add more pages to your website:

  1. Login to your site at http://login.webpiston.com.
  2. Click on “Classic Console” at the bottom left of the page.
  3. Click on “Edit your Site” on the right side of the page.
  4. Now click on “New Page” on the bottom of the screen. A new box will open up with some things for you to add.

The Link Text is what shows up in the left hand navigation on the site.

The Page Title is what shows up on the browser window when someone goes to your site.

The Page FileName isn’t important. This should automatically be created for you.

  1. Choose the “Sibling” option and then click the Create button.

You can now click in the middle of the screen and a new window will open where you can type in your text. Click on Update and then Save Page when you are finished.

When you get banners or buttons from other places they usually give you html code to put into your site. Here is how you would do that:

  1. Login to your site at http://login.webpiston.com.
  2. Click on “Classic Console”.
  3. Click on “Edit your site”.
  4. Go to the page where you want to put the banner or button and click on the page to open the editor.
  5. Click on the “View/Edit Source” button at the top of the editor.
  6. Now you can paste your html code in here. When you are done, click on the OK button.
  7. You will then see your banner or button on your page and you can copy and paste it where ever you want it on the page.
  8. Click “Update”, “Save Page” and then “Publish”.

If you get stuck anywhere, let me know.

Thank you,
Peter
